Clothes Collection – October 31st 2020

Covid 19’s restrictive environment has greatly restricted Ballinasloe Rugby Club fundraising projects in 2020.

To continue to source much needed funds, the club has been engaging in a cash for clothes fundraising. We have partnered with the Ballinasloe Lions Club in this effort and nominated them as our preferred charity.

To-date we have had 3 collections from our clothes company and the scheme has raised over €2,000 for sharing between both local community organisations.

Final collection to take place on Saturday, October 31st…

The club now intends to hold the final collection for 2020 on Saturday October 31st. The previous conditions and collection point will apply. There will be club volunteers on hand between 10am to 5.00pm on the above date to collect any items you may wish to dispose of.

The funds are required to contribute to vital maintenance work which is needed to be carried out at the entrance to the club grounds and improvement or replacement of pitch lighting. This ensures we can continue to facilitate our ever-growing club members in a safe and effective environment.

Furthermore, your participation will be supporting the Ballinasloe Lions Club Xmas food distribution project which is a particularly valuable support to its beneficiaries in the local area at this time of year.

They have had similar fundraising issues in 2020 and your support would be most graciously appreciated.
