Our great Club continues to punch above its weight and continues to be successful, winning competitions and producing players in both codes, representing the Club at both a Provincial and National level.

Herewith is a brief synopsis of the growth in our playing pool and success throughout the past year.

  • We have 150 children between 6-12 years playing mini rugby.
  • We provide 4 ARCB Referees.
  • We provide 4 Affiliate Referees.
  • Our 18.5 Youths Boys retained the Rafeek Khan League Trophy.
  • The u14 and u15 youth Boys also won their respective Division 2 Leagues.
  • Garbally College successfully completed a three in a row of Connacht Senior Cups.
  • Ballinasloe U14 Mixed Tag Rugby won the All Ireland Community Games.
  • Beibhinn Parsons represented Ireland with distinction during this seasons Six Nations scoring a number of memorable tries in the process, which not only represents her brilliance as an individual but also the massive work and progression being done in the Girls section of the Club.

We as a Club have ensured that all necessary protocols and risk assessments pertaining to Covid-19 have been completed to ensure a safe return to rugby.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all our teams the very best for the season ahead. We as a Club pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming.

One of the lasting ethos of rugby, is the lifetime friendships that are made both on and off the pitch. You are assured of a very warm welcome at our Club grounds at Graigueawoneen, Ballinasloe.
